hello friends, today I will tell about Internet.we all familiar with the internet. we use this common term in our daily life, but very few know what actually an Internet is!

There are many questions arise in your mind, that is

1. What is the Internet?

2.who discovered the Internet?

3.who is the owner of the internet?

4. how the internet works?

so friends lets start. In this jet Age, we can live without water for some hours, we can live without food for some hours but we can't live without the internet for a few minutes. It becomes the part of our daily life.

so basically the Internet is nothing but it is the connection between the two network. or we can say the network which joins two or more network for sharing the information by using the TCP/IP protocols is known as the Internet.

Now here one question is arise in your mind what is this TCP/IP protocols.

lets me tell you a little bit about TCP/IP protocol because it is a vast topic so I will completely explain to you in my next blog:

 so TCP/IP protocols are just a set of rules for communication between the networks. By follow, these rules networks can communicate with each other easily.

Who discovered the INTERNET?

Many peoples are behind the discovery of the internet. but if we give a reward for the discovery of the internet we found two names Vint Cerf and Robert Elliot Kahn.

 Firstly Leonard Kleinrock thinks   about the internet but later on, In   1962 J.C.R. Licklider and Robert   Taylor discovered a network whose   named as ARPANET. and further     In 1974 ARPANET is named as   TELNET which is used for           business purpose.

Who is the owner of INTERNET?

If we talk about the owner of Internet then there is a conclusion that there is not one owner of the Internet.

there are three types of company which provide us with the internet.

1.Tier 1 ISPs

These are the service provider which set the submarine cables under the sea for the internet. they invest their own money for the set up of submarine cables.these  are the international companies which provide Internet to all over the world. 

2. Tier 2 ISps

Thes are the service provider which takes internet from international services providrs and provide the internet to the tier 3 ISPs or us. These are the national companies

3. Tier 3 ISPs

Tier 3 ISPs is the local service provider to which we buy internet and this money is going to the Tier 1 ISPs. now I hope you have to clear that there is no single person is the owner of the internet.

How the Internet works?

Let me explain to you. First of all if I ask you how the internet comes to us and how we can communicate at a very far distance in milliseconds,then some people says internet comes with us with the help of signals, some says internet comes with us with the help of satellite, but actually, these are not the correct answers

Internet comes with us with the help of submarine cables.yes off course Submarine cables is the only way for the internet. Approx more than 8 lakh km of cables are set in the sea so that we access the internet easily.

 if we search anything on browser then the request is taken by the ISPs and then ISPs search on the server where all information of world is stored and then the server response for the request sent by the ISPs and then finally ISPs respond us and we get the answers.
